An open military-patriotic training course “Guardian-2026” has concluded in Lviv region. It ran from 19 June to 3 July and brought together more than 120 participants from various regions of Ukraine.
Boys and girls from eight regions took part in the programme: Lviv, Khmelnytskyi, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Rivne and Sumy. Over the course of two weeks, they underwent intensive training under the guidance of instructors from the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine and the Vasyl Vyshyvanyy Training Centre.
The young participants were taught the basics of tactical medicine, marksmanship and sapper skills. They practised operating unmanned aerial vehicles and communications equipment, and used electronic shooting ranges and APC simulators. Particular attention was paid to practical skills in evacuating the wounded and effective teamwork.
The training course was fully funded from the regional budget. The event was organised within the framework of the regional programme “Youth of Lviv Region”.
“If we want to have a strong Ukraine tomorrow, we must nurture strong young people today. That is why the open training course ‘Guardian’ has already been held for the third time in Lviv region. This year it brought together more than 120 young men and women from different regions of our country. Such training courses help young people acquire strategically important skills, teach them to take responsibility for themselves and those around them, to make decisions quickly and to act in a coordinated way as a team. The development of young people is one of the most important investments in the future of our state,” said Maksym Kozytskyi
The organisational support for the event was provided by the Department of Sport, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
