In Zolochiv district three defenders have been posthumously honoured with state awards

In Zolochiv district, the families of three fallen servicemen have been presented with high state awards. The decorations were handed over by the head of the Zolochiv District Military Administration, Vasyl Markevych.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine, three defenders from Zolochiv district have been posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” Third Class.

The Order “For Courage” Third Class was awarded to Private Pavlo Bobko, a resident of the village of Pidlyptsi in Zolochiv district. At the start of the full-scale invasion, he returned from abroad and joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as senior mechanic-driver of the 1st squad of the observation platoon of the reconnaissance company of military unit A4056. He was killed on 17 July 2025 while carrying out a combat mission near Pokrovsk in Donetsk region. He was 33 years old at the time of his death.

Junior Sergeant Ruslan Povstiuk from the village of Ushnia in Zolochiv district has also been posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” Third Class. He was a gunner in the air assault battalion of military unit A0284. The serviceman was killed on 29 November 2025 while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Mohrytsia in Sumy region. The defender was 36 years old.

The Order “For Courage” Third Class has also been posthumously conferred on Private Bohdan Shulytsia, a resident of the village of Poltva in Zolochiv district. He joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May 2024. He served as a rifleman in the 3rd rifle squad of the 2nd rifle platoon of the 2nd rifle company of a military unit. Since 6 December 2024, the serviceman had been considered missing in action. It has been established that he was killed near the settlement of Pliekhovo in Kursk region of the Russian Federation. He was 47 years old at the time of his death.

In addition, pursuant to the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Bohdan Shulytsia has been posthumously awarded the honorary distinction “Combatant’s Cross”.
