The Radekhiv community mourns the tragic loss of its native son, Vasyl Yevhenovych Ferens, born in 1989. This hero gave his life while carrying out a combat mission to protect Ukraine.
On December 29, 2024, in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, Vasyl, a grenade launcher operator of the 2nd assault unit, 1st assault platoon, 2nd assault company, fulfilled his duty with courage and determination.
A resident of Radekhiv, Vasyl Ferens was a true patriot and valiant defender who stood firm against the enemy and fought for Ukraine’s freedom and independence until his final breath. His sacrifice will remain forever in the hearts of his loved ones, friends, and the entire community.
The time and place of the funeral procession will be announced later. All residents are urged to honor their Hero with dignity and pay tribute to his memory.
