Lviv region says goodbye to its defenders today
Vasyl Koval
A native of the village of Zarichchia, Sudovovyshnia community, Yavoriv district. He joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in July 2023. He held the position of driver of the 3rd rifle company of the military unit A7127. He died on 25 April during a combat mission near the village of Huliaypole, Zaporizhzhia region. He was 30 years old.
🕯️ Roman Ivanyshyn
Originally from Boryslav. In May 2024, he came to the defence of Ukraine. He served in the ranks of the 110th separate mechanised brigade named after General Marko Bezruchko. He died on 30 June 2024 near the village of Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region. From that time until April 2025, he was considered missing. The soldier was 32 years old.
🕯️ Roman Kutsyk
Originally from the village of Zhuravno, Stryi district. He joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in June 2024. He was a sergeant, a grenade launcher of the mountain assault company of the military unit A3892. He died on 23 April near the village of Vyymka, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region. The soldier was 45 years old.
🕯️ Mykhailo Lutsyk
Mykhailo was born in the village of Verkhniy Dorozhiv, Medenytsia community, Drohobych district. He came to the defence of the Motherland on 9 March, 2022. He served as a senior shooter-operator of the military unit A4689. He died on 23 April near the village of Myropillia, Sumy region. He was 53 years old.
🕯️ Dmytro Gerula
Originally from the village of Obertyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region, he lived in Stryi. He was a captain, an officer of the electronic warfare service. Since 2024, he was the head of the electronic warfare of the First Separate Assault Regiment, 108th Battalion, 59th Brigade “Da Vinci Wolves”. He died on 27 April. The soldier was 54 years old.
🕯️ Viktor Vlasenko
A native of Sumy, he has lived in Lviv since 2019. After the start of the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the 12th Dmytro Vyshnevetskyi Operational Brigade to defend his homeland. He performed combat missions in the Donetsk sector of the frontline. He died on 29 March. The soldier was 32 years old.
🕯️ Ihor Tkachenko
A native of the village of Korosno, Lviv region. He was in the regular military service in the military unit A0226. In 2014, he voluntarily defended his homeland. He took part in combat operations in the anti-terrorist operation zone as a member of the 24th separate mechanised brigade named after King Danylo. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, he voluntarily joined the 125th separate territorial defence brigade. He died on 27 April. He was 47 years old.
