As Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy reported, unfortunately, it was not possible to establish the identity of the fallen soldier. However, a sample of his DNA was preserved. If relatives are found, the Defender’s body will be reburied under his own name at the Lychakiv cemetery.

For the first time, the Lviv community said goodbye to the Unknown Warrior of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Probably died on April 3, 2022 in the battles for the city of Popasna. Hero’s body arrived in Lviv in June 2022.
