A new round of the grant programme “Poruch” has been launched in Lviv, within which young people can receive up to UAH 100,000 to implement initiatives for male and female veterans, people discharged from military service, and their families. The programme is implemented by the Lviv Youth Fund.
Funding will be provided to projects implemented within the territory of the Lviv community and aimed at helping veterans adapt to civilian life, professional development, strengthening social ties and creating supportive communities.
Teams are invited to take part if they work on veteran support or have ideas for creating environments for growth, interaction and recovery. The programme focuses on educational events and training, creative workshops, cultural initiatives, career development programmes, as well as projects that help build veteran communities. The target audience must be young people aged 18–35.
The following are eligible to apply for a grant:
- veterans’ organisations;
- civil society organisations working with male and female veterans and/or their families;
- male and female veterans who wish to launch or strengthen their own project and are registered as private entrepreneurs;
- initiative groups.
The Lviv Youth Fund notes that the “Poruch” programme is designed to turn support for male and female veterans into tangible opportunities in the community – for professional development, creating new partnerships, communities and formats of interaction.
Applications are open until 15 June. The selection process will run until 18 June, and the programme winners are expected to be announced on 22 June.
The Lviv Youth Fund was established in 2024 with the support of the city’s youth organisations and businesses and funds youth projects aimed at improving Lviv. The “Poruch” grant programme is financed by the fund’s business partners, and this year it is also supported by the “United for the Community” project, implemented by ISAR Ednannia with the financial support of the European Union.
