Lviv to Install Memorial Plaques for 21 Fallen Ukrainian Defenders

On December 13, the Executive Committee of Lviv City Council approved the installation of 50 memorial plaques in honor of fallen defenders of Ukraine. These plaques will be placed on the facades of educational institutions in Lviv, including schools, gymnasiums, and lyceums.

According to the city’s Department of Architecture, the plaques will follow the standardized design adopted in Lviv to commemorate the soldiers who died in the Russo-Ukrainian War.

Locations of Memorial Plaques

  • Secondary School No. 72: Oleh Blyus, Andriy Kulykovets, Petro Lopushynskyi, Oleh Muzhkhevych, Bohdan Pikh, Taras Reshetyvskyi, Andriy Symko, Oleksandr Suknevych.
  • Lyceum No. 18: Volodymyr Burak, Andriy Kotyk.
  • Dublyany Support Lyceum named after Hero of Ukraine Anatoliy Zhalovaha: Vasyl Velykyi, Ivan Chornyi.
  • Lyceum of International Relations named after V. Stus: Oleh Zubrytskyi.
  • Zarudtsi Gymnasium: Vasyl Kachynskyi, Bohdan Kot, Stefan Lopatko.
  • Lviv Academic Lyceum No. 1 named after B.-I. Antonych: Maryan Kolomiiets.
  • Secondary School No. 99: Vitalii Nikitchuk.
  • Zashkiv Lyceum named after Yevhen Konovalets: Orest Putkaradza.
  • Lyceum No. 37: Oleksandr Rudskyi.
  • Secondary School No. 55: Volodymyr Tereshko.

Conditions for Installing Memorial Plaques

Lviv has established specific guidelines for installing memorial plaques in honor of fallen defenders of Ukraine. They may be placed on the educational institutions where the hero studied or the buildings where they lived.
