The company “Ukrainian Armoured Vehicles”, as part of the Brave1 Advantage initiative, has unveiled two new models of fibre-optically controlled strike drones designed to operate in conditions of intense electronic warfare.
The first model, UB80D15-EFP, has a diameter of 15 inches and weighs 8.5 kg. The drone is equipped with a combined 1.5 kg warhead in the form of an explosively formed penetrator with fragmentation and high-explosive effect, capable of piercing armour up to 50 mm thick. Thanks to a reel with fibre-optic cable, its flight range is up to 25 km.
The second model, UB82FO, is also 15 inches in diameter, but weighs 10 kg. This unmanned aircraft carries a full-fledged 82 mm mortar round, and its maximum flight range, provided by the fibre-optic reel, likewise reaches 25 km.
Both drones are fitted with a powerful power system — two 6s4p rechargeable batteries with a capacity of 20,000 mAh each. This configuration provides stable thrust and allows heavy combat payloads to be transported over the maximum distance.
Control via fibre-optic cable makes these unmanned systems resistant to enemy electronic warfare assets. According to the developers’ concept, the drones are intended to engage enemy personnel, unarmoured and lightly armoured vehicles with armour up to 50 mm thick, as well as fire assets, from the air.
