Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to defenders Artem Shakaryan and Ruslan Danilevich

On Thursday, December 14, Lviv will say goodbye to servicemen Artem Shakaryan and Ruslan Danylevich, who died at the hands of the Russian occupiers while defending Ukraine. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The servicemen’s funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The soldiers will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical references of defenders

Artem Shakaryan (March 26, 1989-December 7, 2023) from Lviv.

Studied at the Lviv secondary school of grades I-III No. 43 of the Lviv city council of the Lviv region. He received his education at the State Educational Institution “Lviv Higher Vocational School of Food Technologies”.

After completing his studies, he worked in the culinary field of the city of Lviv. In his spare time, he did tattoos, dreamed of opening his own restaurant. He was an extremely good person, he did not refuse help to anyone.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, despite the lack of military experience, he stood up to protect the Motherland from the invaders. After training, he performed combat missions in the eastern direction in the ranks of the 103rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He often cooked for his brothers.

Artem Shakaryan is survived by his mother, sister and wife.

Ruslan Danilevich (February 12, 1982-December 10, 2023) was born in the village of Khorly, Kherson region.
He studied at the Myrna secondary school of grades I-III of the Kherson region. After completing his studies, he served in the military in Simferopol.

In peacetime, he first worked in construction in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, later in the field of property protection services. He was an exceptionally kind and sensitive person, a loving family man. He was fond of fishing.

In 2015, he joined the ranks of the 79th Border Detachment of the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine. Subsequently, he joined the 11th border detachment of the Eastern Regional Department of the State Security Service of Ukraine.

In 2022, Ruslan Danilevich’s family moved to Lviv. He met the beginning of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on the front line. Performed combat missions to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state on the eastern front.

Ruslan Danilevich is survived by his parents, wife, son, two sisters and a 5-month-old granddaughter.
