Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to three Heroes who defended Ukraine – Andrii Andrushko, Ostap Lyzants, Mykola Heba

On Friday, March 31, Lviv will say goodbye to three more Heroes. Andriy Andrushko, Ostap Lizanets, Mykola Geba defended Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul (11 Teatralna St.), at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will be held on Rynok Square. Heroes will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

 

Biographical references of Heroes

 

Andriy Andrushko (September 9, 1969-March 24, 2023). A native of Lviv.

Studied at Secondary Secondary School No. 30. He obtained the specialty “painter, artist-restorer” at the Secondary Vocational and Technical School No. 17 of the city of Lviv (today – the State Educational Institution “Stavropygius Higher Vocational School of the City of Lviv”).

After completing his studies, he served in the radiation, chemical and biological defense forces. In peacetime, he was engaged in the restoration of churches, later he worked in the law enforcement agencies of the city of Lviv.

During 2015-2016, he performed combat missions in the area of the anti-terrorist operation in the ranks of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo of the operational command “West” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

After returning, he worked as a storekeeper at the Agromat enterprise.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, he joined the ranks of the 103rd separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Andrii Andrushka is survived by his mother, sister, wife, two children, grandson and daughter-in-law.

 

Ostap Lyzanets (September 5, 1991-March 24, 2023). A native of Lviv.

Studied at Secondary Secondary School No. 90 of the city of Lviv. Graduated from the Lviv Vocational College of Hotel, Tourism and Restaurant Service.

In peacetime, he worked in the construction and security sector, later – abroad at the factory of the “Philips” concern.

He practiced boxing and the martial art of Muay Thai, and dreamed of becoming a sports coach and teaching children.

From the first days of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he went to war as a volunteer. He fought against the Russian invaders in the ranks of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danilo of the “West” operational command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ostap Lizanets is survived by his mother, grandmother and fiancée.

 

Mykola Heba (July 7, 1979-March 27, 2023). A native of the city of Lypkany (Republic of Moldova).

He graduated from a local school. In the early 2000s, he moved to Ukraine and studied at the Interregional Higher Professional School of Communication in Lviv. Subsequently, he studied at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing.

After completing his studies, he held the position of sales manager of power tools at the Limited Liability Company “House of Tools” and at the Private Enterprise “Abrazyv”. During the last period he worked in Belgium.

He was fond of history and reading literature.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, he returned from abroad and joined the ranks of the territorial defense. Fought against the Russian occupiers as part of the 125th separate territorial defense brigade of the “West” regional administration of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Mykola Heba is survived by his mother, sister, brother, wife, two children and nephews.
