The ‘Dairy Forum – 2025’ took place in the Lviv region, discussing challenges and opportunities in the dairy sector.

The event was held at the Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies named after S.Z. Gzhytskyi. Participants were welcomed by Yuriy Buchko, Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Yuriy Radelytsky, Head of the Commission on Agro-Industrial Complex Issues, and MP Volodymyr Kharkhalis.

‘The forum brought together business representatives and authorities, large and medium producers, researchers – everyone involved in developing the dairy sector in the Lviv region,’ said Yuriy Radelytsky.

In 2025, entrepreneurs will receive financial support for increasing the number of cows – UAH 20,000 per cow, as well as a state subsidy of UAH 7,000. Construction of five dairy farms with a capacity of 2,200 cows is ongoing in the Lviv region with investments exceeding UAH 400 million.

The forum also included a dairy product fair, a cheese-making master class, and an animal exhibition. In the Lviv region, 180 businesses are involved in milk production, of which 70 are individual entrepreneurs.
