Government Supports Agricultural Producers in Frontline Areas

This week, significant changes were made in supporting Ukrainian agricultural producers, particularly in frontline areas. For farmers with over 80% of their land in conflict zones, the compensation for Ukrainian-made equipment has been increased to 40% as part of the ‘Made in Ukraine’ policy.

In 2026, this programme is set to allocate 1.8 billion UAH and covers 166 manufacturers and over 14,000 pieces of equipment. The state now covers up to 80% of the costs for repairing, reconstructing, and building irrigation systems in frontline and de-occupied regions.

Additionally, 236 agricultural producers from Kherson region will receive compensation for lost crops at 4700 UAH/ha, with payments scheduled to begin next week.

Furthermore, the government is implementing livestock support, with applications starting from 7th April. Farmers will receive 7000 UAH per cow (from 3 to 100 heads) and 2000 UAH per goat/sheep (from 5 to 500 heads). Among other benefits, agricultural producers can rely on preferential loans for energy equipment, including ‘5-7-9%’ and at 0% up to 10 million UAH.
