A Unique Construction 3D Printer Started Operating in Lviv Region

A unique construction 3D printer for student training has started operating in the Lviv region. This was reported by kozytskyy maksym official. This printer prints with a cement mixture, and currently, there are no analogs in any educational institution in western Ukraine.

It has become a key element of the newly created educational and practical center for construction engineering and automation, which was opened at the Mining-Economic Vocational College. Here, specialists will be trained in the fields of “Software Engineering” and “Construction and Civil Engineering.” Up to 300 students can study at the center simultaneously.

Besides the 3D printer, the institution received a powerful modern material and technical base. Laboratories for heating, water supply, ventilation, and power supply were created, and a “Smart Home” learning space was equipped with security systems and energy-efficient solutions. Students will work on equipment used in real projects, bridging the gap between theory and practice. Education here is available to graduates of 9th and 11th grades, as well as anyone wishing to change their profession or undergo retraining. Budget and contract places are provided.

Over 13 million hryvnias were attracted for the project’s implementation: almost 8 million from state subsidies, 3 million from the regional budget, about a million from community funds. The rest was financed from the college’s special fund and with the support of benefactors. Ukraine currently needs specialists who will build, restore, design, and implement modern technologies. Quality professional education is the country’s staffing resilience and the foundation for post-war reconstruction, so I sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the creation of this center.

There are 59 modern educational and practical centers operating in the Lviv region. The Lviv Regional State Administration is interested in ensuring that every resident of the region can obtain a modern professional or vocational education in various fields, allowing them to earn a decent living. I appeal to the heads of educational institutions: initiate well-thought-out projects. These are the kinds we are ready to support at all levels!
