The competition took place in Chisinau (Moldova). Dana Soroka, an athlete from Lviv region, won the competition by 9 seconds ahead of her closest competitor, a representative of Spain.
In total, 25 athletes from 11 European countries competed in this discipline.
“Dana Soroka is a pupil of the Kyiv Children and Youth Sports School No. 1, she is coached by Anatoliy Shevchuk. By the way, her sister Eva Soroka also won the European Junior Triathlon Cup, which took place in Poland in May. Eva and Dana are now among the most promising young triathletes at the national level,” adds Roman Khimyak, Head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
