On June 21, at the ‘Nyzhankovychi – Malhowice’ checkpoint, a 40-year-old resident of Kharkiv was detained while attempting to export a significant amount of currency from Ukraine.
The driver of an Audi SQ5 chose the ‘green corridor’ for customs control. However, during inspection, customs officers discovered undeclared cash: 15,000 euros and 20,000 US dollars.
The allowable norm for currency export of 10,000 euros was let through the customs border of Ukraine. The rest – 5,000 euros and 20,000 US dollars – was temporarily confiscated pending the case’s resolution in legal order.
According to the National Bank’s exchange rate on June 21, 2025, this amount exceeds 1.3 million UAH. An administrative report was filed regarding the customs rules violation, according to part 1 of article 471 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
