Lviv region is experiencing increased load at border checkpoints due to growing passenger traffic.
During the Christmas-New Year holidays, passenger traffic traditionally increases. In order to minimize queues and speed up border crossing procedures, border guards are working in an enhanced mode. **The number of border patrols has been increased**, additional automated workstations have been deployed, and there is constant coordination with the adjacent side. According to forecasts, the load on border checkpoints will remain high over the next week.
We remind that there is an electronic eQueue system for bus transport, allowing carriers to plan the border crossing time themselves. At the same time, in the Shuhyni and Krakivets checkpoints, the slotting mechanism is not yet implemented, leading to increased load at these checkpoints due to the arrival of buses without a defined processing time.
To avoid long waiting times, we advise planning your route in advance, confirming trip details with carriers, and, if possible, choosing less congested checkpoints.
