In the Lviv region, border guards are recording a 25% increase in passenger traffic due to summer holidays and the tourist season.
With the start of summer holidays and the activation of the tourist season, the border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment are observing a 25% increase in passenger traffic at checkpoints in the Lviv region. According to preliminary forecasts, the total increase in travelers could reach up to 40% compared to normal figures.
Most congested directions:
- “Krakivets” and “Shehyni” – remain the most loaded, especially in the direction of leaving Ukraine.
- “Rava-Ruska,” “Hrushiv,” and “Uhryniv” – are characterized by medium traffic levels.
- “Nyzhankovychi” and “Smilnytsia” – have the lowest load and are recommended for travelers who wish to save travel time.
Recommendations for travelers to avoid long waits:
- It is recommended to choose weekdays, especially morning or late evening hours, for leaving Ukraine.
- For entering Ukraine, weekends remain the optimal option.

At the “Shehyni” checkpoint, extensive repair and modernization works are being carried out, including:
