The Lviv Prosecutor’s Office completed the investigation into the Buryats who tortured and robbed people in the Buchansky district

Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a special pre-trial investigation was completed and an indictment against two Russian servicemen was sent to court. These are facts of brutal treatment of the civilian population and other violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, at the beginning of March of this year, in the village of Buzova, Buchansky district, the occupiers brutalized civilians, including women and children.

Russian soldiers, Buryats by nationality, broke into a private house. At gunpoint, they began beating and torturing four men. They abused them in front of women and children, who were also intimidated with weapons and violence.

After torture and abuse, armed Buryats robbed people, took money and valuables.

The persons of the accused have been identified and declared wanted.

We remind you that for every crime on Ukrainian land, the occupiers will suffer a just punishment.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
