Medical worker in Rivne region exposed for taking money to help pass military medical commission

In the Rivne region, law enforcement officers have exposed an employee of a medical facility suspected of receiving money from servicemen in return for facilitating the passing of the military medical commission. This was reported under the procedural guidance of the Rivne Specialised Defence Prosecutor’s Office for the Western Region.

According to the investigation, a 53-year-old laboratory assistant at one of the medical institutions set up a scheme for obtaining unlawful benefits for processing documents required to pass the military medical commission.

Initially, he received 10,000 UAH from a serviceman for “sorting out the matter”, and later demanded and obtained a further 1,000 US dollars for arranging medical examinations and confirming the necessary diagnoses, as well as 400 US dollars for issuing the final documents.

After receiving the last part of the funds, the man was detained. He has been notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Investigators are currently identifying the suspect’s possible accomplices and checking their involvement in the unlawful activity.
