The police of the Lviv region urges drivers of all vehicles, including two-wheelers, to strictly follow the requirements of the Traffic Rules, be attentive, do not exceed the speed limit, maneuver carefully and constantly monitor the road conditions. Take care of life and health – your own and those around you.
The traffic accident happened on August 21 at around 9:30 p.m. in the village of Gamalivka, Lviv district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, two Honda scooters, driven by local residents aged 17 and 33, collided. As a result of the incident, both scooter riders were injured and were taken to the hospital.
As a matter of fact, the investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
An investigation is underway, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
