In the last 24 hours, in Lviv Region, 38 fires of dry grass were reported over a total area exceeding 2 hectares. Such incidents threaten not only the environment but also residential houses and other structures. In light of this, rescuers once again emphasise: do not burn dry vegetation and adhere to fire safety rules.
Burning dry vegetation is not only a dangerous act but also a violation of current legislation, punishable by administrative liability. Fines range from 3,060 to 6,120 hryvnias for citizens and from 15,300 to 21,420 hryvnias for officials. Uncontrolled burning can rapidly spread to forest areas or endanger the lives and health of people and animals.
Follow the rules: do not burn dry grass, do not discard cigarette butts, and always remain responsible. If you discover a fire, immediately contact the Rescue Service by dialling 101.
