Prosecutors of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office in Lviv have sent an indictment against a 31-year-old woman to court. She is charged with illegal acquisition, storage and sale of psychotropic substances in particularly large amounts (Part 2, 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that in January this year in Lviv, a local resident was engaged in the sale of a psychotropic substance – PVP.
To do this, the accused posted messages about the sale of the psychotropic substance in specially created Telegram channels. After receiving the payment, she would bookmark the banned substance in the city. The woman took photos of the caches and sent them to her “clients” along with a geolocation mark.
During the searches, the SBU found and seized more than 500 grams of the banned substance prepared for sale.
She is currently in custody.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region, with operational support from the SBU Department in Lviv region.
Note: According to Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved by law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
