Bus route No. 9 in Lviv to be extended to the village of Soroky-Lvivski

In Lviv, there are plans to extend bus route No. 9 from its current terminus in the village of Murovane to the village of Soroky-Lvivski. The relevant decision was adopted by the executive committee of Lviv City Council, and the updated route is expected to launch roughly a month and a half after the route layout is approved by the police.

At present, buses No. 9 run from Vernadskyi Street to the village of Murovane. After the changes, they will have six additional stops in one direction, and more vehicles will be put on the route to maintain the current service interval.

Route No. 9 is operated by the municipal enterprise ATP-1. Once the new route layout is approved by the police, buses will run on the following loop: Soroky-Lvivski village — Murovane village — Malekhiv village — B. Khmelnytskoho Street — V. Lypynskoho Street — V. Chornovola Avenue — Svobody Avenue — P. Doroshenka Street — M. Kopernyka Street — S. Bandery Street — General T. Chuprynky Street — I. Horbachevskoho Street — Academician A. Sakharova Street — Knyahyni Olhy Street — Volodymyra Velykoho Street — Stryiska Street — V. Vernadskoho Street (bus station) — V. Vernadskoho Street (opposite building No. 115 on Stryiska Street) — V. Vernadskoho Street (bus station) — Stryiska Street — I. Rubchaka Street — Troleibusna Street — Volodymyra Velykoho Street — Knyahyni Olhy Street — Academician A. Sakharova Street — M. Kopernyka Street — P. The exact launch date for the extended route No. 9 will be announced separately. The City Council also reminds residents that the Murovane territorial community is part of the “Lviv Agglomeration” association and became the first community to fully reimburse the travel costs of its beneficiaries on Lviv’s public transport.

According to Lviv City Council, there are currently 54 bus routes operating in the city, with around 500 buses running daily, and approximately 78% of the city’s public transport is accessible to passengers with reduced mobility.
