Of the 44 student mini-companies of Lviv Oblast and Bukovyna, which were registered and created at the beginning of December on the basis of 37 vocational and technical education institutions and specialized colleges of these regions, more than a third have already started producing their own products. The rest are in the stage of starting production.
Out of 15 mini-companies that started production and sale of products on the basis of their own educational institutions, 5 chose the field of sewing production and are engaged in the production of clothing accessories (handbags, shopping bags, cosmetic bags, belts, basques). Pupils of another four mini-enterprises work in the food sector and produce confectionery, energy bars, dried semi-finished products and grow microgreens.
Another popular activity of young entrepreneurs is the production of decor elements (3 mini-companies). In particular, in the run-up to the Christmas season, the students were able to produce and successfully sell their own New Year’s home decor collections.
On the basis of the Chernivtsi Vocational Lyceum of Automobile Service, students created a mini-company “Warm Ukraine” that manufactures “Patriot” turbo-stoves. And students of the Zolochiv Vocational Lyceum founded the car service mini-company “Autonut”.
Mini-company “EverDruk”, created on the basis of VPU No. 35 in Stryi, began to fulfill the orders of other mini-companies for the printing of business cards, advertisements and other printed products, which are produced by young entrepreneurs.
– According to the terms of study under the “Company” program, the release of products should be at the end of January at the beginning of February 2023, but our enterprising young people are so enthusiastic about the idea of creating their student mini-company that even vacations and Christmas and New Year holidays cannot restrain their desire to start production of own products, – says Vera Drugova, program manager of Junior Achievement Ukraine.
We would like to remind you that 37 educational institutions of professional and technical education and specialized colleges of Lviv and Chernivtsi regions are participating in this year’s educational program for the development of entrepreneurship “Company” from the NGO “Junior Achievement Ukraine”. At the beginning of December, 44 student mini-companies were registered and created on the basis of these educational institutions. The largest number – in Lviv region – 26, another 18 – in Bukovina.
It should be noted that the best Ukrainian student mini-companies will represent Ukraine and present their business ideas at the #GEN_E 2023 European Festival of Youth Entrepreneurship in Istanbul in July 2023.
– I want to share with the participants of our educational program one more good news – the educational program of the Junior Achievement course on entrepreneurship “Company” received the seal of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. According to the results of the review by the expert commission on economy, entrepreneurship and financial literacy, it was approved for use in the educational process. We are glad of the close cooperation and support from the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as the education departments of local state administrations in the regions of our work, – says Yuriy Tokarskyi, CEO of Junior Achievement Ukraine.
