The Lviv Regional Military Administration discussed new tourist routes.
One of the key issues was the presentation of the Camino Ruteno tourist trail project, which will pass through the Bibrska, Davydiv, Pidberiztsi, and Lviv communities. The project was presented by Taras Hrynchyshyn and Myroslava Ivanyk. Zvenyhorod is an important node on the route, where archaeologists discovered unique pilgrim shells from the 12th-13th centuries.
The Head of the Tourism Department, Maryana Kuksa, noted that “Camino Ruteno covers the territories of Lviv, Ternopil, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions and has the prospect of becoming part of the European network of pilgrimage routes”. The Saint James Way is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
They also considered the approval of the tourist route “Slavske – Mount Pohar”. Mount Pohar is known for its views and ski slopes. The route has been approved and included in the Register of Active Tourism Routes of the Lviv Region.
The discussion included the prospect of creating a digital registry of active tourism routes and expressed concerns about the construction of wind energy facilities on the Verkhovyna Watershed Range.
