
At the 79th session of Horodok City Council, councillors, as is customary, began their work by considering matters related to supporting the Defence Forces. Using funds from the local budget, they purchased and sent to the front equipment and machinery worth almost UAH 3,443,000.
For the military, they procured 1 DJI Mavic 3E quadcopter, 5 DJI Matrict 4T quadcopters, 27 charging stations, 43 Starlink Mini units, 14 Starlink kits, as well as 16 Chuyka electronic warfare support devices. In addition, almost UAH 1,188,000 was allocated as a subvention to meet the needs of four military units. In total, based on the decisions of the session, 30 Defence Forces formations received support amounting to around UAH 4,631,000.
The councillors amended the Programme for the Financial Support of Horodok Central Hospital, allocating UAH 5.5 million for the purchase of an energy storage system. The city council emphasises that this is an important step in preparing this critical infrastructure facility for the winter period and in implementing the resilience programme.
The session also approved the report on the results of monitoring the implementation of the Action Plan for the 2026–2027 implementation of the Development Strategy of the Horodok Territorial Community for the period 2021–2027. In addition, funding for the Comprehensive Programme for Social Protection and Support of the Population of Horodok City Council for 2026 was increased by almost UAH 443,000.
Additional funds under the programme will be directed, in particular, towards one-off assistance to certain categories of citizens from families of service personnel, payment for social services for residential care in care institutions in Lviv region, as well as monetary compensation for the cost of organised family holidays for war veterans, participants in the Anti-Terrorist Operation/Joint Forces Operation, the Revolution of Dignity and their family members.
The councillors backed amendments to the Programme for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies and the Consequences of Natural Disasters and for Rapid Response to Them in the Territory of the Horodok Community.
The session approved the composition of the Youth Council under Horodok City Council. The city council stresses that this will enable young people not only to take part in community life, but also to influence the shaping of its future.
By a separate decision, with the aim of commemorating the memory of Hero of Ukraine Ivan Pavlyshyn, the councillors supported the renaming of Zavereshchytskyi Educational Complex “Berehynia”. From now on, the educational institution will bear his name, and within its walls new generations of patriots will be brought up.
A number of decisions on urban planning and land issues were also adopted. Once processed and signed, all the session decisions are to be published on the official website of Horodok City Council.
