On June 23-24, Lviv will host two significant events: the opening of a Center for people who have experienced captivity, torture, and moral trauma, and the international forum ‘Unbroken Justice.’
The event will feature renowned figures such as international lawyer Philippe Sands and neurosurgeon Henry Marsh. ‘Justice and Time’ will be the title of a public conversation at the Lviv City Council featuring British law professor Philippe Sands and psychoanalyst Beatrice Pacalidis-Hoffmann.
The second day of the forum will be marked by the opening of the first St. Leo the Great Mental Health Center in Ukraine. Discussions at the Center will include psychological assistance for torture victims, accountability for crimes against humanity, and genocide.
The event will gather human rights defenders, psychotherapists, and public activists. Panel discussion participants include neurosurgeon Henry Marsh, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Bjørn Berge, and other experts. Ukrainians who have experienced captivity, including Maksim Butkevych, will also participate.
