The city of Lviv, in collaboration with the ‘Come Back Alive’ Fund, organized a charitable campaign called ‘Weapons Bearers’, aimed at financially supporting four brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The total amount of contributions exceeded 100 million hryvnias, and assistance continues.
The Lviv community raised 101.2 million UAH, which allowed for the purchase of 40 vehicles, 40 electronic warfare systems, 100 Mavic 3 drones, and 168 Mavic 3T drones, which will significantly enhance the operational capabilities of the brigades on the front line.
Comments from Authorities and the Fund: Andriy Moskalenko, the First Deputy Mayor of Lviv, expressed admiration for the community’s activity and interaction with the fund, noting that this assistance is critically important for strengthening the country’s defense. Volodymyr Turchyn from the ‘Come Back Alive’ Fund emphasized that this is only the first series of deliveries and expressed hopes for further increases in assistance.
Personal Stories of Participants: Sofia Dutchak, a volunteer, raised one million hryvnias through her personal efforts and determination. She continues the traditions of her father, a volunteer, and notes that her motivation to save lives is relentless.
Results of Technical Support: The equipment that was purchased has already been sent to the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Galician Brigade, the 68th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade named after Olexa Dovbusha, and the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Transcarpathian Brigade. Thanks to this equipment, the combat capabilities of the brigades will significantly increase.
