A training center for adoptive parents and social workers is planned to be created in the Lviv region.
Deputy Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Khrystyna Zamula met with representatives of the UNHCR. They discussed joint projects, particularly the creation of a new training center. This center will train social professionals, foster parents, guardians, and adoption candidates. “This will allow for a more sustainable and convenient preparation system for participants,” noted Khrystyna Zamula.
The parties also agreed to continue working on projects for setting up supported living centers. They plan to develop social housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and expand the network of resilience centers in the region. “Most organizations operate closer to the front line. Thank you for the UNHCR remaining an active partner in western Ukraine. Your support in the region, where over 200,000 internally displaced persons reside, is extremely important,” stressed the Deputy Head.
The center is planned to be launched by February next year.
