The monument on the grave of the Ukrainian Galician Army soldiers in Lviv has been transferred to the balance of the Shevchenko District Administration.
The relevant decision was approved by the city council executive committee on November 14. The district administration is to conduct an expert evaluation and ensure the monument’s maintenance. “The monument was built by local Ukrainian youth on the initiative of the ‘Prosvita’ Society in the 1920s”, reports @lvivadm.
In the early 1990s, activists restored the monument to its original form, using authentic elements. The monument is topped with a high traditional cross, and at the base of the pyramid are ‘blind’ stone lanterns. According to the specialist, **the monument is in satisfactory condition** but requires minor repair and restoration work.
