At the Sokal Central City Hospital, the installation of an autonomous water supply has commenced. This is crucial for ensuring uninterrupted water supply, especially in emergency situations.
According to the hospital’s engineer, Tetiana Samofalova, the project is being implemented in stages. In 2024, a 60-metre deep well was drilled, and last year, a project was developed to connect the well to the main water supply network, with all necessary permits obtained for the work.
Currently, a pipe to the well and a cable have already been laid on the site, and the necessary structures for the technological building have been purchased. Inside the special building, the well and a 24-cubic-metre reservoir will be housed, allowing the hospital to have a water reserve even in emergency situations.
The total cost of the work amounts to 2,957,442 hryvnias. It is important to note that the reconstruction is being funded by the hospital’s own resources, which are included in the medical services package “Readiness to Provide Medical Assistance in the Context of Infectious Disease Spread, Epidemics, and Other Emergency Situations”.
The contractor plans to complete all work and commission the facility by May this year.
