In Lviv, Smaller Buildings Permitted on Pasichna Street

On Pasichna Street in Lviv, instead of 16-storey buildings, a six-storey residential complex will be constructed. The Lviv City Council announced that a permit has been issued to “Pasichna Hall” LLC.

Anton Kolomeytsev, the chief architect of Lviv, stated that the complex will accommodate 57 apartments and 49 spaces in the underground parking. Commercial premises and necessary infrastructure are also planned.

This project will be developed in zone Zh-4, where high-rise buildings are permitted, but it has been agreed to construct at a medium height, considering the proximity to other sites. The project includes a six-storey volume, which will be complemented by two attic floors.

Andriy Moskalenko, the first deputy mayor, emphasised the importance of safety zones and shelters in new buildings. Compliance with state building regulations, which consider these requirements, is mandatory.

The significance of accessibility for persons with disabilities was also highlighted, taking into account the challenging terrain of Pasichna. Architects must consider inclines to ensure comfortable movement for people in wheelchairs.
