A new prosthetics center has been launched in Lviv, based at the Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University.
This center is the result of collaboration between France and Ukraine, with funding provided by the French government, which granted 2.47 million euros. Companies Resilience Orthopedics and Expectise France have been involved in the work.
The new workshop is equipped with 20 modern 3D printers, making it the largest production facility in Ukraine for manufacturing prosthetic sockets. The center’s capacity reaches up to 600 prosthetics per month.
To start operations, 16 Ukrainian specialists underwent training under the guidance of French experts. Now, a multidisciplinary team will work at the center, providing patients not only with prosthetics but also with a full rehabilitation cycle.
In addition to Lviv, two more microclinics have been created in Kyiv and Poltava. There, special scanners will be used to take measurements for future prosthetics individually for each patient, while manufacturing will be carried out in the Lviv workshop.
I sincerely thank Resilience Orthopedics and Expectise France for training the specialists and organizing the launch of the prosthetics center, said a project representative. Thankful to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and personally to Viktor Lyashko for effective coordination.
Such initiatives change lives. For Ukraine, it is important that our soldiers have access to the best prosthetics and modern rehabilitation after the front.
