Starting Monday, April 28, annual hydraulic tests of the heating networks will begin in Lviv. Initial inspections will focus on the main pipelines connected to TPP-1 and TC “Pivnichna,” the city’s largest sources of heat. Subsequent tests will involve smaller networks from local boiler houses, with individual testing schedules possibly extending up to two weeks.
According to Oleksandr Odynets, director of Lvivteploenergo, hydraulic tests are crucial for identifying and repairing worn-out sections of pipelines ahead of the heating season, preventing major breakdowns and enabling flexible heat supply based on weather changes.
Testing Schedule:
-
April 28 to May 5 – testing of main pipelines from TPP-1 and TC “Pivnichna”
-
Until June 2 – repair of detected damages
-
Temporary suspension of hot water supply in Sykhivskyi, Frankivskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and parts of Lychakivskyi districts.
Affected Areas:
-
Sykhiv residential area (Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue, Morozna, Sykhivska, Zubrivska, Monastyrskoho Streets, etc.)
-
Stryiska, Naukovа, and Volodymyr Velykyi Streets and surrounding areas

Hot water supply is expected to resume from June 3, although repairs might be completed earlier where possible. For instance, parts of Lychakivskyi district will be reconnected through the boiler house on Kytayska Street sooner.
