In Lviv, 5 abandoned cars were evacuated in a week

During the past week, 5 abandoned cars were evacuated from the streets of Lviv. This was reported by city-adm.lviv.ua. The neglected cars, which had been stationary for a long time, were obstructing residents and violating public order regulations.

The decision to relocate the vehicles was made by the commission for the detection and relocation of abandoned vehicles within the territory of the Lviv community. The cars were transported to the police impound lot on Konyushynna Street, 13.

Among the evacuated vehicles were: a RAF minibus that had been parked for about 7 years on Sykhivska Street, 8; a Ford that hadn’t moved for 6 years on Petliura Street, 37; as well as JAC, Audi, and VAZ, which hadn’t been driven for the last 5 years and were removed from various streets of the city.

Before relocation, notices were placed on the cars urging the owners to remove the vehicles themselves. Since this was not done, the commission, which includes police, service center employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, officials, and city council deputies, decided to transport the cars to the impound lot.

In total, by the decision of the public space commission, 66 abandoned vehicles have already been moved to the impound lot. The first cars were removed from the streets of Lviv on January 31 of last year. Meanwhile, after the program’s launch, some owners have independently removed their vehicles or brought them into order.
