St. Nicholas Children’s Hospital in Lviv to receive modern cystoscopic unit funded by Kredobank Foundation

A memorandum of cooperation has been signed in Lviv between the First Medical Association of Lviv and the CREDO Foundation, the corporate charity arm of Kredobank. As part of this partnership, a total of 3 million UAH will be allocated:

  • 2 million UAH will go toward purchasing a modern cystoscopic unit for St. Nicholas Children’s Hospital,

  • nearly 1 million UAH will be used to provide psychotherapy support to Ukrainians affected by the war.

During the signing ceremony, Oleg Samchuk, General Director of the First Medical Association of Lviv, highlighted that Kredobank has been a reliable partner for years, particularly in the field of mental health. The current collaboration marks a new phase, now also targeting treatment for pediatric urological conditions. The new equipment will enable the hospital to treat and save more young patients.

Solomiya Hovorukha, head of the CREDO Foundation, emphasized the growing prevalence of post-traumatic stress symptoms among Ukrainians. In seeking effective projects, the foundation partnered with the First Medical Association and the UNBROKEN Center to ensure that their aid would reach those in greatest need. Supporting veterans, soldiers, children, and youth remains a top priority for the foundation.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, medical facilities in Lviv and other western regions have experienced significant strain. The demand for services has shifted, necessitating upgrades in equipment and infrastructure. In this context, the support from responsible partners like the CREDO Foundation is not just valuable – it is essential.

“We are sincerely grateful to Kredobank’s charitable foundation for their steadfast and comprehensive support during these challenging times. Their contribution enables us to care for the health of both adults and children, addressing both physical and mental needs,” concluded Oleg Samchuk.
