In Lviv, doctors performed a complex operation on a newborn with congenital intestinal obstruction.
Little Romchyk was born at 36 weeks of pregnancy with a suspected congenital pathology. After birth, he was transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where the diagnosis was confirmed. “The child has a unique case of congenital intestinal obstruction,” noted pediatric surgeon Roman Stenyk.
After the surgery, the boy remained under observation, receiving parenteral nutrition. Roman spent over a month in intensive care, gradually transitioning to natural feeding.
Today, the little one is at home, under constant medical supervision. “In our department, the child was undergoing a stage of mixed feeding,” said pediatrician Myroslava Kushnir.
