The European track cycling championship is underway in Portugal. Today, at the competition, a set of medals was drawn in the men’s national team among juniors
The podium was formed by athletes from the Netherlands, Great Britain and Ukraine.
Danyil Yakovlev from Lviv took the honorable third place for our country. The 16-year-old athlete is learning cycling at the George Prokopenko Children’s and Youth Sports School in Lviv. Master of Sports of Ukraine Andriy Kargut and Mykola Zalyhin train.
Previously, Daniil managed to enter the top five in the scratch bicycle race. In total, three athletes from Lviv Oblast compete in the Ukrainian national team. In addition to Daniil, these are Nikita Yakovlev and Karolina Kelyukh.
