Lviv anti-aircraft missile brigade recruits new specialists to defend the skies

The Lviv anti-aircraft missile brigade has announced a recruitment drive for new servicemen and servicewomen to strengthen air defence. This was reported during a briefing at the Lviv Regional Military Administration.

The unit stresses that the brigade is actively mastering modern Western air defence systems, in particular the German anti-aircraft missile system IRIS-T SLM. Service personnel receive training abroad and, on completion of their courses, are immediately deployed on combat missions. The effectiveness of their work has been proven in practice: during one of the unit’s first combat deployments, all enemy cruise missiles assigned as its targets were destroyed.

The brigade is currently being brought up to full strength. There is a particular need for drivers of various categories, anti-aircraft missile system operators, communications specialists, IT professionals, technical staff and other specialised experts. Citizens aged between 18 and 55 are invited to join.

During the selection process, education, previous professional experience and the candidate’s preferences are taken into account, in order to offer a position that matches their skills. Both men and women can serve in the brigade.

Servicemen and servicewomen are guaranteed pay, additional allowances for participation in combat missions, bonuses for destroying aerial targets, as well as a one-off payment upon signing their first contract.
