Today, September 22, Lviv said goodbye to Ilya Shagarov, who died in the battle with the Russian invaders.
The funeral service began at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, the serviceman was buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.
Biographical reference of the Hero
Ilya Shagarov (15.09.1987-17.09.2022) native of Lviv.
He studied at secondary comprehensive school No. 77 in the city of Lviv with an in-depth study of economics and management. Subsequently, he obtained a professional and technical education.
With the beginning of Russian aggression, he performed combat missions in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation. In peacetime, he worked in the limited liability company “Nova Poshta”.
Candidate for master of sports in badminton. He was fond of playing the saxophone.
After the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he came to the defense of Ukraine. He fought against the occupiers in the ranks of the 43rd separate artillery brigade named after Hetman Taras Tryasyl of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ilya Shagarov is survived by his father, wife, 8 brothers and 4 sisters.
