Today Lviv region says goodbye to its defenders
Ivan Talpa
A native of the village of Novi Butory, Odesa region.
Participant of the anti-terrorist operation. During heavy fighting near Ilovaisk, he was wounded. Later he joined the 28th separate mechanised brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, where he continued to defend the country during the full-scale invasion. He performed combat missions in Mykolaiv, Kherson and Donetsk regions.
He was awarded the medal “For Courage, III Class”.
Volodymyr Leontiev
A resident of Lviv.
He took a course for drone pilots and loved doing this work.
During the full-scale Russian invasion, he voluntarily joined the 67th Separate Mechanised Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend Ukraine. He performed combat missions along the entire front line. He was awarded the “Participant in Combat Operations” insignia.
Volodymyr Fedorovych
A resident of Radekhiv, Chervonohrad district. He was a senior soldier, senior gunner of a mortar platoon of a fire support company. He died on 31 August 2024 in the Donetsk region.
