Three weeks ago, devastating news shook the Pashkovskyi family and the entire Sokal community. Ukrainian Defender, Senior Sergeant Oleg Vasylovych Pashkovskyi, a unit commander in military formation A4805, passed away during medical treatment.
Oleg Pashkovskyi was born on April 9, 1975, in the village of Bendyuga. At the tender age of four, he lost his father. He studied at Chervonohrad School and later graduated from the Mining Technical College. From a young age, he began working, first at a fur farm and later dedicating 15 years to various mines, including Chervonohradska, Velykomostivska, Vidrodzhennia, and Stepova. He also worked at SP Kyiv-Zakhid and LLC Soteco.
In September 2023, Oleg was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In March 2024, while performing tasks to counter and deter russian armed aggression in the Donetsk region, he sustained a mine-blast injury. Despite prolonged treatment, he returned to defend his homeland, showing extraordinary courage and resilience despite ongoing health challenges.
On November 18, 2024, Oleg Pashkovskyi passed away.
The community extends heartfelt condolences to his mother, Nadia, wife Oksana, sons Artem, Oleh, and Volodymyr, daughters-in-law Khrystyna and Vira, grandson Davyd, brother Pavlo and his family, brother-in-law Volodymyr and his family, as well as his mother-in-law Maria and the entire extended family of this Hero.
