On 24 August, Independence Day, another 115 Ukrainian defenders returned home from captivity.

Among the 115 soldiers were three defenders from Lviv region. This was reported by the head of the Lviv Regional Military Association Maksym Kozytskyi.

The guy is 22 years old. He served in the 35th assault brigade. He was taken prisoner on 30 April 2022 near the village of Vremivka.

The most heartbreaking thing is that the soldier’s mother, Oksana Kolyada, was told that her son had been released from captivity just as she was speaking during a peaceful rally in support of all missing and captured persons in the Sokal territorial community.

More than two years of hope! Orest, we thank you and your comrades for everything. We rejoice with your family from the whole Lviv region. We wish you strength and health.

On 26 August, Maksym Kozytskyi reported that among those who returned home during the last prisoner exchange was another of our countrymen, Vitaliy Tarasovych from Yavoriv district.

The soldier is 23 years old. He is from Sudova Vyshnia. He served as an conscript since April 2021. He was defending Azovstal. The family lost contact with Vitaliy on 12 June 2022.

All this time, they were accompanied by uncertainty and faith. Faith prevailed. Good health to you, Vitaliy. Low bow for everything you have done for the state.
