In the Powder Tower they continue to weave nets: they ask to bring cloth

Every day, except Sunday, dozens of people gather at the Powder Tower in Lviv to weave camouflage nets for the Ukrainian military. Volunteers have now received an order for 20 nets for the Azov Regiment, so Lviv residents are being asked to bring fabrics in green, beige, black, brown and navy blue.

“We are approached by the military from different parts of Ukraine. During this month, we have woven more than 300 camouflage nets for the military in an approximate area of 3,600. All are working for a common goal, for victory. Children come to us, women with cats, because there was nowhere to leave, refugees from Kharkiv, who with tears in their eyes say that their city is destroyed, that they want to help. We have been here since February 25 and until the victory, ”said Bohdana Synyakevych, a volunteer at the Lviv Regional Youth Center and coordinator of volunteers at the location.

Knit nets every day, except Sunday, from 12:00 to 18:00. In total, about a hundred locations in Lviv are involved in such volunteering. Lviv residents are invited to join the work, and especially to bring fabric, especially shades of brown.

We will remind, youth of the Lviv region developed the volunteer center in the regional youth center from the first day of war. Ammunition, equipment, medicines, food and clothing – every day volunteers pick it up at the center and send it to those who are waiting. They learn about the needs through a network of youth centers, from friends, acquaintances and other volunteers. In the first 19 days of the war alone, about 60 tons of humanitarian aid were sent.
