As a reminder, according to the road traffic rules in Ukraine, vehicle movement through crossings is forbidden if:
- the crossing attendant signals to stop;
- the barrier is lowered or begins to lower;
- a stop signal is activated on traffic lights or an auditory warning is issued regardless of the barrier’s position;
- a queue has formed after the crossing, forcing the driver to stop on the crossing;
- a train is approaching the crossing within sight.
In cases where it is necessary to let a train pass or when crossing a railway is prohibited, the driver must stop before:
- road markings — a stop line;
- the road sign “No passing without stopping”;
- a barrier;
- a traffic light;
- not closer than 10 meters from the nearest rail.
