The regional final of the all-Ukrainian project ‘Side by Side National School Leagues’ for futsal among girls in grades 5-9 took place at ‘Bosko-Arena’ in Lviv.
Eight teams from all districts of Lviv region and Lviv itself competed for awards, having successively won at the school, territorial, and district stages of the school league. These are students from the following educational institutions: Novorozdilsk ZCSEO named after Andrii Herhert No. 3, Strilkivsk Lyceum of Strilkivska Village Territorial Community, Horodotsk ZCSEO No. 5 I-III stages, Novoyavorivsk Lyceum, Lyceum No. 2 of Drogobych City Council, Busk General Secondary Education Institution I-III degrees No. 2 of Busk MR, Gymnasium No. 10 of Sheptytsky City Council, School No. 84 of Lviv City Council.
The winners and prize-winners were: 1st place – Strilkivsk Lyceum of Strilkivska Village Territorial Community, 2nd place – Gymnasium No. 10 of Sheptytsky City Council, 3rd place – School No. 84 of Lviv City Council.
‘The winners of the regional stage of the school leagues will later compete at the national stage of the project. The strongest futsal players in Ukraine will be determined in June in Kyiv,’ said Roman Khimyak, director of the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
