Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine №457 of 16.04.2022 “On support of certain categories of the population affected by the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine” amended the Procedure for providing housing assistance to internally displaced persons.
Starting from May 2022, such assistance will be provided to:
– IDPs who have been relocated from the territories of territorial communities where hostilities are taking place or who are under temporary occupation, encirclement (blockade);
– IDPs who are unable to return to their place of residence due to the destruction or damage of uninhabitable property and who have applied for compensation for the relevant losses, in particular through the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services.
We emphasize that such payments to internally displaced persons returning to their main place of residence will be suspended. Even if individuals remain in places of forced relocation and their property at their main place of residence is not damaged and the settlement is not in a combat zone, payments to IDPs will not be transferred either.
