The end of summer is the right time to prepare for autumn, which is traditionally considered the season of colds. It is important to strengthen the immune system to successfully resist diseases. Doctors told us how to spend the rest of August and early September: what to eat and drink and how much to spend on physical activity.
Surgeon Dmitriy Yedeliev advises to start preparing for autumn by normalising your water balance. In particular, he recommends drinking herbal teas. You can brew what you have in the garden: currants, raspberries, blueberries, blueberries. It is worth adding ginger or echinacea to the drink.
Yedelyev recalled that smoking and alcohol have a negative impact on the immune system, so it is worth reducing alcohol and tobacco consumption. Physical activity in the fresh air will help strengthen the body. According to Yedelyev, doctors from all over the world advise exercising at least 150 minutes a week. It can be jogging, yoga, dancing. It is best to exercise for half an hour a day.
Sleep patterns also contribute to strengthening the immune system. To fall asleep quickly and get enough sleep, the doctor recommends spending the evening with a book and opening the windows at night to keep the air in the room fresh.
