Community festival “Who remembers in our families” to be held in Pidzamche
Jam Factory Art Center, the Museum of the City, and the Center for Urban History invite residents of Pidzamche to workshops to learn more about family archives, history, and personal geography. The community festival “Who Remembers in Our Families” is an opportunity to spend time with your family, find new acquaintances and impulses to research your own history.
The City Museum has joined the festival program, offering to take part in a quest through the city, sharing stories about gardening in the city, and the Center for Urban History invites you to look through family albums of Pidzamche residents and hear stories about them.
How to join?
You can come alone, with friends or family at 124 B. Khmelnytskoho St., Green Hangar location (right down the alley from the main entrance to the art center). Everyone can join the activity program free of charge: the proposed art practices do not require any previous experience.
The program
– from 11:00 to 17:00 workshops will be held continuously
– workshops with Lyubomyr Tymkiv on making postcards and zines
– workshop on mapping and card game with Asya Tsisar
– video demonstration of practices with the program community by Olha Marusyn
– viewing photo albums of Pidzamche residents on the screen and listening to stories about them (from the Center for Urban History). Registration is required if you want to bring your own album: https://forms.gle/rs3wHdYTQGzxz1Vk8
– quest “Like a fish in the city. Znesinnia” for families, groups of friends and everyone from Lychakiv station to the lake on Znesinnia (from MuMi). Registration is required.

The festival “Who Remembers in Our Families” is the final event of the “Who Remembers” program for residents of Pidzamche and the surrounding area with the participation of resident artists within the MagiC Carpets platform and with the support of Creative Europe. The event is organized jointly with MuMi and the Center for Urban History.
