Lviv region was represented by 17 juniors, 5 juniors, 27 male cadets and 9 female cadets. Yesterday, November 6, the Ukrainian judo championship among juniors under 21 and cadets under 18 ended in Kyiv.
The Department of Youth and Sports of the Lviv OVA sent the national team of the Lviv region to the competition, consisting of 17 juniors, 5 juniors, 27 male cadets and 9 female cadets.
According to the results of the first day of competitions, where juniors and juniors competed, the candidate for master of sports of Ukraine Nikita Beregulskyi won the gold in the weight category up to 100 kg. The athlete trains at the Specialized Children’s and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve No. 2. His mentor is Oleg Shestopalov.
Master of Sports of Ukraine Mykola Hrybyk also managed to win the title of champion in the weight category over 100 kg. A judoka trains at the Iponn-Veselka sports club. His coach is Yaroslav Hrybyk.
Olha Tsymko won silver at the competition in the weight category up to 70 kg. The vice-champion trains at the Lviv School of Higher Sports Mastery and the Lyon Sports Club. She is coached by Serhii Drebot and Vladyslav Drebot.
Artem Hrychan also became the vice-champion in the weight category of 81 kg. Oleksandr Korchmelyuk trains an athlete in the “Real” club. Artem Seneyko and Tetyana Dmytriv stopped short of a medal among the juniors.
Maksym Lutsyk, who competes in the weight category of 73 kg, became the champion among cadets. The athlete trains at the Specialized Children’s and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve No. 2. His mentor is Fedir Zagura.
Another pupil of this sports school, Danylo Grabovetsky, became the bronze medalist in the weight category of 66 kg. He is coached by Fedir Zagura and Yaroslav Stelmakh.
Among the cadets, Andrii Kaminsky also won bronze in the weight category up to 60 kg. He is coached by Vladyslav Drebot at the Lviv School of Higher Sports Mastery.
